Season 2 of True Blood picks up where Season 1 left off. Sookie is grateful to have Bill back but must deal with his new female vampire protege, Jessica. Sam wrestles with several issues: losing Sookie to Bill, hiding his own supernatural ability and dealing with a ghost from his past, Maryann. As Tara settles into her new lush surroundings at Maryann's along with a new lush love interest in Eggs, she must deal with the murder of someone close to her. Jason, confused and seeking direction in his life, finds solace in the anti-vampire church the Fellowship of the Sun.
